This sublime Manorhouse built in 1830 is composed by 3 buildings, two of them residential and the other one designated as a warehouse. The Manorhouse is distributed by two floors where the hallway showcases a sumptuously marble stair as well as chapel with afresco details. Reaching the first floor, a hand-made fireplace with exotic wood and Viúva Lamego tiles composing the other Alentejo chimney. The second building has 12 rooms and the access can be made by the garden. Warehouse achas an amplitude of 180m2. Something about it feels timeless yet somehow still modern. The style, after all, embraced technological advancements and ushered in a new standard for decor. And, as the saying goes, everything that seems old eventually feels new again. Now a museum town in the Alentejo, Monsaraz was the head of the county until the mid-19th century, when the county administration moved to Reguengos de Monsaraz.  A curiosity: did you know that Reguengos means “relative to King”, being directly linked to the Latin prefix regis (= King)?  While the entire municipality of Reguengos de Monsaraz grew over the centuries, accompanying modernity, Monsaraz turned its back on time and allowed itself to remain as it wanted, girl and maiden – timelessly magnificent.
